Halfway through!

It's midway through the exam period now, I've finished another two exams on this Monday and Tuesday and left with two more papers. I did so-so for the last two, cause I felt like I didn't had enough preparation as well as I have not been dedicated enough to my studies for this semester. It was partly due to my commitment in my CCA Taekwondo Club, because being a committee in the club required me in doing more works and it takes up more of my time, but it was for the interest of the club, and after all that's what a committee member meant to be doing anyway. So can't complain.

Talking about grades, what are grades to me? As a kid growing up in a Chinese family, it bound to have high expectation from parents, I was always required to be the best, especially in terms of academic. When I was younger, I studied hard and got good grades was not for myself, but rather for the fulfilment of my parent's expectations. But now, I'm old enough to know that all these efforts being diligent in studying will help me to attain good qualifications which in turn will get me a decent job and live a comfortable life. Nonetheless, I also seeing getting good grades as a challenge to myself, to prove myself that I can do it and I am capable to slog through three years of toilsome studies and surmount the challenge. Motivation is what keeps me going.( I will talk about motivation in another blog post). Find your own motivation and it will help you a great deal with any challenge you were to face.

And on a side note, I have found this website http://www.ted.com/  . It is a great website teemed with great videos of speeches and presentations. I find it constructive and helpful, it will definitely help you in your speaking skills and broaden your knowledge.
