Happy Birthday Singapore!
Happy 51st birthday Singapore! The proudest thing about Singapore is that it is truly able to achieve racial harmony in the society. People whom are from different races, cultures and religions could live peacefully with one another and see ourselves as one identity, it is indeed no mean feat. So may this country continue to prosper, strive and achieve greater goods.
I still see myself as half a Chinese National, though I already am a Singapore Citizen. We just couldn't leave our root, our past behind, I was born and raised in China, I had my fair shares of the culture's influence. The morals and values which I learnt had deeply ingrained in me. Although, I now prefer some of the westerner's way of doing things, but I would still abide by some of the principals I learnt from the Chinese culture, I pick the best of both worlds.
Pokemon Go has launched in Singapore early this week, it was a huge hit. People are crazy over this game, you could go anywhere at anytime to find people are looking down at their phone and point it around as if it was a compass. I personally don't play the game, because I didn't watch Pokemon and play any of its franchise games, so I'm not particularly hyped up for this game. However, there're so many people are playing it, I felt that I'm would be left out if I don't join the craze, but maybe not for now. I got better things to do. Haha.
I didn't go out today. One is because I was STILL studying for the CCNA exam. Omg, it has a lot more topics to study than I thought. As previously, my friend told me that it was easy, easy to pass, confirm will pass, apparently, it was not that easy. Another reason is that because my mother is sick today. She had a fever last night, and today she's felling super unwell and resting in bed all day, so I'm home to take care of her. I didn't had much experience with taking care of a patient, so I learnt a thing or two today, it seems quite late for me to learn such thing, but well maybe I am a late bloomer.
So, I had scheduled my CCNA exam on next Wednesday afternoon. The exam fee is SGD $400+ ,it was so much more expensive than I was told by my friend. Why increase the price? Because CISCO said that it is to reflect on the value of certificate, and enable Cisco to improve the certification program. ... ok, can. CISCO Certificate has gain popularity over the years and they had increased the price a few times, so I see what you did there.
I had moved in to my hall yesterday, I reiterate, hall 12 is really good. I am gonna treasure and enjoy my last year in NTU.
School started this week, I am actually interested in this semester's modules, I had switched from Power Specialization to Infocomm Specialization. Infocomm is where I find my real interest in, I enjoyed the first lesson so far and look forward to the upcoming lessons.
Wishing me and everyone a good academic year ahead!
